Cech is believed to be close to sealing a £14m deal to join the Blues’ London rivals, and The Mirror reports the 33-year-old has been assured of his first-choice status should he join the Gunners.
The Czech Republic international’s arrival will likely see David Ospina leave the club, with reports suggesting he could be on his way to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The Mirror reports Polish shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny wants to remain at the Emirates and fight for his spot.
Cech has spent 11 years at Stamford Bridge and it is believed Abramovich is willing to allow the veteran gloveman to make the move out of respect for his service at the London club.
In shock news however, Daily Star reports Chelsea could now make a move for Queens Park Rangers shot-stopper Rob Green as back-up for first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Stoke City’s Asmir Begovic.
