Arsene Wenger wants to add another French gem to his squad…
Arsenal will target 18-year-old French wonderkid Adrien Rabiot, who plays for PSG, when the transfer window reopens in January, reports calciomercato.
The 18-year-old burst onto the scene last year, following a successful loan spell at Toulouse, but has only made two Ligue 1 starts so far. He has come off the bench six times though, and has scored a goal, too.
Rabiot is a star of the French Under-21 side, and has been highly rated ever since he made his debut back in 2012.
He has all the attributes a modern midfielder needs, and prides himself on his ability to retain possession in tight areas and find teammates with intricate, visionary passes. Arsene Wenger believes the young midfielder can develop into a key member of his side, much like Aaron Ramsey has this year.
Rabiot will have his work cut out trying to force his way into a more prominent role in Laurent Blanc’s mega-money PSG side, and could see the opportunity to work under Wenger as too good to refuse.
Liverpool’s deal for Mamadou Sakho shows that PSG are prepared to part with their best home grown talent should a sufficient offer arrive, and Arsenal could make a formal offer in January.
