Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have made the first move in the race to sign Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals in 81 Premier League appearances for the Magpies since joining from Toulouse in January 2013.
But he is now reportedly looking to move to a bigger club, and three of the Premier League’s elite are all thought to hold an interest.
According to reports in France, Tottenham have made a concrete offer for the France international in order to get a step on London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is in the market for a new midfielder after offloading Benjamin Stambouli, Paulinho, Etienne Capoue and Lewis Holtby this summer.
Sissoko, apparently valued at £16m by Newcastle, would be capable of playing in a central role alongside Nabil Bentaleb or Ryan Mason, or on the right flank.
