How Real Madrid and FC Barcelona’s transfer policy affects the Premier League
Ten English players linked with summer transfers
Although promised a significant amount of playing time this year by FC Barcelona’s manager, Luis Enrique, he has chosen to play Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suarez in a front three instead.
After Pedro scored Saturday against Real Sociedad, his celebration was directed to Enrique, revealing his frustration with his amount of playing time.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United have all shown interest in Pedro, but since Pedro’s goal, Enrique wants to keep him in Barcelona.
“He’s done what he needs to at all points during the season,” Enrique said. “He’s a great example for his teammates. He’s perfect in training, and whenever he’s needed, he’s there. It’s a pleasure having him.”
Although actions speak louder than words, perhaps Pedro could be playing more in the final two games.
