The Gunners need an upgrade on the likes of Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck up front, while the Blues could also do with more options due to some injury problems suffered by both Diego Costa and Loic Remy throughout 2014/15.
The Daily Mail claims that the Argentine is likely to cost around £30m this summer after another excellent individual season, with Napoli struggling as a whole and finishing fifth in Serie A, missing out on the Champions League.
This could hand both Arsenal and Chelsea a big boost as they eye the former Real Madrid man, who was a key player for Jose Mourinho during their time together at the Bernabeu.
