Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira could be on his way to the Premier League before the end of the summer after being left out of Carlo Ancelotti’s Super Cup squad, according to the Daily Express.
The German international, a World Cup winner with Joachim Low’s squad in Brazil earlier this summer, has been strongly linked with both Arsenal and Chelsea and is said to be favouring a move to Stamford Bridge as he nears an exit from the Bernabeu.
Khedira would like a reunion with his old manager Jose Mourinho, who brought him to Real from Stuttgart back in 2010, and it looks increasingly like he has no future in the Spanish capital after being deliberately left out of this European game to avoid being cup-tied.
Arsenal will also hope to be in the running to secure his signature as they look to improve their midfield options this summer, with Sporting Lisbon starlet William Carvalho also believed to be a target.
