Arsenal have been given a clear path to sign Julian Draxler after Juventus switched their attention to signing Man United target Mario Gotze.
Juventus have reportedly given up on their pursuit of Draxler, with Schalke rejecting their first offer for the German international, according to Football Italia.

However, while the Turin giants are not willing to meet their €30m valuation of the midfielder, they will use those funds to target his compatriot instead.
While Gotze isn’t expected to be in Pep Guardiola’s plans this season, United have been linked with the World Cup winner as Louis Van Gaal continues his search for a new striker.
The 23-year-old has expressed an interest in a move to Turin previously, but it remains to be seen whether or not he is ready to quit his homeland for a new challenge in Serie A.
Reports in Italy claim that he could be available for as little as €20m, and that will certainly alert Van Gaal as he considers his options in the market before the window closes.
The news will be a boost for Arsenal as they consider moving for Draxler, but United will undoubtedly be disappointed to hear the news of their competition for Gotze which at the very least could spark a bidding war and see his price-tag rise.
