The Gunners are ready to bring in Bender and Debuchy as well.
Arsenal are set to complete a busy period of transfers with a £61m triple swoop for Alexis Sanchez, Lars Bender and Mathieu Debuchy, reports the Telegraph.
The North London club are yet to make any signings in the close season, but have already lost Nicklas Bendtner, Lukasz Fabianksi and Bacary Sagna on free transfers.
Of those three Sagna is the greatest loss as the Frenchman was a firm fixture in the starting XI last term and replacing the new Manchester City signing is vital.
That is why manager Arsene Wenger has turned to Newcastle United’s Debuchy, who has been impressing in the Premier League since a January 2013 transfer from Lille.
The France international is understood to be available for between £10m and £12m and has plenty of experience at the top level of the game.
However, the biggest hype concerning new arrivals is that which is surrounding the impending Sanchez deal, with the Barcelona forward set to complete a £32m switch to the Emirates Stadium.
The Chile international greatly impressed at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the arrival of the 25-year-old is likely to fill Gunners fans with similar excitement to when Mesut Ozil was acquired from Real Madrid in 2013.
Finally Wenger is keen to sign a holding midfielder, with the 64-year-old believing the attacking side of things is covered in the middle – as shown by his dismissal of re-signing Cesc Fabregas from Barca, with the Spaniard joining Chelsea instead.
Although Bayer Leverkusen rejected a £19m offer for Bender last summer the North London outfit are hoping a similar bid will be accepted this time around and the German can come in and support the more offensively minded players such as Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere.
