Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the signings of three new players worth a total of around £73m, who could all be confirmed next week, according to CaughtOffside.
The Gunners have already been busy in this summer’s transfer window, signing Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona and Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United for a total of around £47m, though there could be even more exciting deals just around the corner.
Keen to address his issues upfront, Arsene Wenger has revived his interest in AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli, who has recently hinted that he wants a move to the Emirates Stadium with a suggestive photograph on social media next to the club crest. The 23-year-old would likely cost around £29m as his club are open to selling him ahead of next season.
The Italian international could also be joined by Chelsea and Liverpool target Antoine Griezmann, who has been in fine form for Real Sociedad in recent times and who has a £24m buy-out clause in his contract.
Finally, Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender has emerged as Wenger’s top target in midfield after his struggles to persuade Sami Khedira to join the club from Real Madrid. The German international should cost a further £20m.
