Julio Cesar set to agree to personal terms on a two-year deal with the club.
Arsenal are on the verge of completing a deal that will see QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar move across London to join the Gunners this summer, reports Italian source TuttoMercato.
The move will see Cesar replace Lukasz Fabianski in the first team at the Emirates, and challenge Wojciech Szczesney for the starting role next season.
The former Inter Milan and Champions League winning goalkeeper joined QPR last summer but, despite a string of impressive displays, could not prevent the Hoops being relegated to the Championship.
After an inconsistent season from Szczesny, Arsene Wenger has been looking for a experienced keeper to challenge the 23-year old in pre-season in a bid for the Polish international to improve his game for a title challenge in the 2013/14 Premier League season.
At 33-years old, Cesar impressed during his short stint at QPR and has also earned 67 caps for his country, highlighting the top class experience that Wenger is looking for in his next goalkeeper.
