Boss Wenger hopeful of luring striker to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are confident of securing top target Stevan Jovetic this summer, even though the Fiorentina striker wants £100,000 per week, reports the Daily Mirror.
Boss Arsene Wenger is an admirer of the £20m-rated Montenegro forward and the Gunners boss believes he will get his man if the club qualifies for next season’s Champions League.
The north London outfit currently sit fourth in the Premier League, one point ahead of rivals Tottenham, and will secure a place in UEFA’s premier club competition if they win their two remaining league matches.
Wenger’s financial hand has been strengthen by Arsenal’s new commercial deals which include a record breaking agreement with kit manufacturers Puma.
The club are also likely to free up a space of the wage bill for Jovetic’s hefty salary by selling the likes of Sebastian Squillaci, Park Chu-Young, Marouane Chamakh, Denilson, Yohan Djourou, Vito Mannone and Niklas Bendtner this summer.
Wenger reportedly believes Jovetic, who has scored 12 goals in 29 Serie A appearances for La Viola this season, can help turn the Gunners into genuine title contenders.
