Gunners hoping to lure Freiburg youngster to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Arsenal are lining-up a £5m deal for German youngster Matthias Ginter, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 19-year-old utility man plays for Bundesliga outfit Freiburg and can operate at centre-half or defensive midfield.
Ginter is valued at around the £5m mark and the Gunners have already made contract with Freiburg about sealing a deal for the Germany under-19 international this summer.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger believes Ginter, who has also played as an auxiliary striker this term, is a big talent.
But Arsenal fans will be dismayed that the Frenchman is again pursuing promising young players, rather than spending the club’s hefty summer transfer budget on proven quality.
Ginter made 23 Bundesliga appearances for Freiburg last season, scoring once, and has one cap for the German under-19 side.
