According to reports in the Metro, Arsenal expect to sign Barcelona teen Munir El-Haddadi in £9.4m transfer deal – meeting the players buyout clause in the process.
The source states that Arsene Wenger has been following Munir closely in the last few months, while reports emerged this week that he had made the 19-year-old a top target for the new year.
El-Haddadi scored on his first-team debut for the Catalans last month, scoring in the 3-0 win over Elche. He also earned his first cap for Spain during the international break, playing in the 5-1 Euro 2016 qualifying win over Macedonia. The teenager only made his debut for Barcelona’s B team earlier this year, and is considered to be a breakout talent.
Meanwhile, TalkSport believe that Arsenal have had an approach for Juventus youngster Kingsley Coman rejected, virtue of reports emanating from Italy. Their initial offer for the midfielder was believed to be worth around £3m, and the Gunners are unlikely to accept defeat just yet.
Coman, 18, only joined Juventus this summer, arriving from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer after his contract with the French champions expired. As the youngest player to ever represent PSG, he had attracted interest from several clubs before he made the switch to Serie A in July.
The French youth international played three times for PSG last season, but has already matched that tally for the Italian giants – most recently coming on as a late substitute during the 2-0 win over Udinese.
