Gunners land Auxerre’s Sanogo and Aston Villa prodigy Crowley.
Arsenal have completed the signings of youngsters Yaya Sanogo from Auxerre and Aston Villa’s Daniel Crowley, according to Goal.com.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted last month he was interested in signing France under-21 striker Sanogo and it is understood the 20-year-old has passed a medical in north London.
Sanogo scored 9 goals in 13 Ligue 2 appearances last season – including seven goals in two matches against Laval and Tours – and will cost Arsenal around £300,000 in compensation under FIFA rules.
Speaking ahead of the club’s last Premier League match in May, Wenger confirmed a deal for Sanogo was likely: “It is in advanced stages but it is not done,” the Frenchman told a press conference.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have also concluded a deal to sign England under-17 international Crowley.
The creative midfielder is just 15-years-old and has been widely tipped as a star of the future. It is understood Wenger personally gave the green light to bring the youngster to north London.
The club are expected to announce the signings of Sanogo and Crowley imminently.
