Arsenal transfer news
Orient confirmed his departure on Friday by confirming that the Gunners had paid them a compensation fee ordered by the Elite Player Performance Programme (EPPP).
The young striker has previously been a part of the England under-15 set up, and managed to catch Arsenal’s eye with a string of strong performances for Orient’s famed youth side.
“He has been a credit to the club all the time he has been here,” academy director Andy Edwards said.
“We are disappointed to lose him. We wish him all the best at Arsenal.
“We have got some exceptional players in our academy, of which Jay is one.”
