Arsenal appear to be on the verge of making one more major signing, after being linked with a big-money move for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Edinson Cavani.
According to The Metro, the Gunners may complete a deal for Cavani some time in the next few days.
Arsenal have also been heavily linked with Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, however reports suggest Real Madrid are refusing to sell the 27-year-old striker, which is causing Arsenal to shift their focus to Cavani.
The Uruguayan international has spent his last two seasons with PSG and scored 31 goals last year. He has notched a total of 210 goals in his career.
The 28-year-old striker is expected to command a similar asking price to Benzema, but PSG have yet to receive a formal offer from the Gunners.
Arsenal are desperate to add a striker, and they may get a leg up in their quest for Cavani.
The striker has reportedly butted heads with PSG manager Laurent Blanc.
Arsene Wenger is believed to be keen to bolster his attack and take some of the goalscoring responsibility off Olivier Giroud.
