Marouane Fellaini still on Gunners radar and will look to make a move for the Everton midfielder.
Arsenal are continuing in their efforts to sign Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini this summer, with the Gunners waiting for permission from Everton to talk to the towering midfielder, according to Goal.com.
Contact has already been made by the North London club, who are said to have triggered the £22.5m release clause in Fellaini’s contract should a Champions League club bid for the 25-year old.
With personal terms the next stage of the process, completion of the deal may still take some time, due to members of the club’s administration and medical team on annual holiday until the end of June.
Adding Fellaini to the Arsenal midfield would result in a versatile player who can push forward and create mismatches against centre halves in the aerial game, whilst also able to provide defensive support should the team adopt a 4-5-1 formation when playing in a tight away game.
With the club also interested in signing Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain this summer, the Gunners are certainly flexing their muscles in the transfer market, making a case for a genuine Premier League title challenge next term.
