Wenger hits out at work permit rules in English football.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has criticised the work permit regulations that currently exist in English football, report the Mail.
The Emirates Stadium boss has revealed that he could have signed current Manchester United star Angel di Maria as a youngster if it was not for the rules that are currently in place.

The issue has come to the fore because the Gunners will require a work permit to be given to prospective new signing Gabriel Paulista – a Brazilian centre back whom the North Londoners are hoping to bring to the club for around £15 million from Villarreal.
Wenger believes that the current regulations are restrictive and have prevented him from signing the likes of di Maria in the past, with the Argentine instead pursuing a career in Portugal and Spain where rules on foreign players are different.
