Arsenal have reportedly sent club big shot Dick Law to Argentina in an attempt to wrap up the signing of the latest ‘next Lionel Messi’ Maxi Romero, according to the Daily Mail.

Law, the club’s chief negotiator, has flown to the South American country to finalise a deal for the teenager after weeks of scouting.
The 16-year-old is currently on the books of Velez Sarsfield, has been the subject of a £4.5m deal to join the Gunners, but the deal has hit the skids recently due to the starlet’s ownership rights.
Both the club and his agent own stakes in the player, which has caused complications as the Premier League employs strict guidelines over third-party ownership of players, and Law has been sent in to negotiate his way to London.
Romero has yet to make his senior debut for the club, but any deal struck would likely see him remain with Velez for at least two more seasons before making his way to the Emirates.
