Wenger is looking to add some more firepower to his frontline next term, as the club’s title challenge fell well short of what was required.
Despite Olivier Giroud bagging 18 goals this term, goals from his strikers have been harder to come by on a more regular basis.
Meanwhile in Spain, Benzema has chalked up another impressive haul of goals, scoring 22 goals in 44 appearances, and he would virtually guarantee to be another source for Wenger to rely on.
Reports in Spain are claiming that Wenger will finally act upon his apparent interest in the France international this summer, by offering up a whopping £35million to secure his signature.
Madrid are ready to cash in on their star striker with the Gunners first in line.
