Arsenal have been relatively quiet in the transfer window, but they are heavily pursuing Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
According to Soccerlens, the Gunners have had their bid of €45m for the 26-year-old star striker rejected.
Three-time defending French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are now entering the arms race for the Dortmund star.
The Gabon international has not hinted he has any intention to leave PSG.
However, he is expected to accept a large offer from a high-profile club that is capable of competing in the UEFA Champions League.
PSG are particularly interested in Aubameyang now, since star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is widely expected to leave.
Aubameyang offers plenty of scoring ability that can soften the blow of losing Ibrahimovic.
The Gabon star scored 26 goals for Borussia Dortmund last season.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also in need of a consistent scoring threat aside from Alexis Sanchez.
They are pursuing Real Madrid star Karim Benzema for a similar price to Aubameyang, so they may fall out of the race for the Borussia Dortmund star.
