Gunners line up Real Madrid raid.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for out-of-favour Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi, according to Spanish source Fichajes.net.

The Gunners are in need of new signings in the middle of the park after failing to land the likes of Sami Khedira and William Carvalho this summer, and Illarramendi may now be top of Arsene Wenger’s priorities.
The 24-year-old, who has been compared with his former team mate Xabi Alonso, has struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu since moving to the club from Real Sociedad last term.
And with Madrid seemingly targeting more midfield signings of their own in January, it looks highly likely that Illarramendi no longer features in Carlo Ancelotti’s first-team plans.
