Arsenal transfer news
The Gunners are facing competition from Liverpool and Manchester United for the Italian international’s signature, but appear keen to make an offer of around £11.5m for the 22-year-old.
El Shaarawy has previously been regarded as one of the world’s best young talents, though he has hit something of a dip in form in the last year or so.
According to the Daily Express, he could be available for the right price this winter and his signing would make sense as a replacement for Walcott at Arsenal, given his ability to play out wide or upfront.
