Arsenal could be lining up a second summer raid on Southampton for the signing of Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama, according to Goal.com.
The Gunners are in need of new signings in the middle of the park after losing Mikel Arteta to injury, while Arsene Wenger has been keeping an eye on big names such as Real Madrid star Sami Khedira and Sporting Lisbon youngster William Carvalho for much of the summer anyway.
Wanyama could now be the latest name on the Frenchman’s list, and he would represent a second raid on the Saints in this transfer window after the signing of young defender Calum Chambers earlier this summer.
Southampton have also sold key trio Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Dejan Lovren to Liverpool this summer and will be desperate to avoid losing more of their most important players.
