Uruguayan Swap at Napoli?
Hmmm. This one smells a little fishy to me…
The Mirror reckon Napoli are in the frame to save Luis Suarez from his bite based ‘mare at Liverpool as they look to replace fellow countryman Edinson Cavani. Napoli, whilst enjoying a second placed finish last season are not quite what you would call one of Europe’s established powerhouses and do not have the finances of Spain and Germany’s top clubs.
Suarez has clearly, and understandably, set his sights on the very elite and claims to be ‘disturbed’ that Liverpool are neither in the Champions League or regularly challenging for titles.
I’d be very surprised if he ends up in southern Italy, with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or PSG looking more like credible destinations. Man City’s Edin Dzeko remains a much more sensible suggestion to replace the outgoing Cavani.
