Tottenham could allow mis-firing striker Roberto Soldado to leave the club this month…
Arsenal are eyeing up a move for Roma’s Mattia Destro. The Italian giants are set to make a bid for Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado, who is their first-choice replacement, in the coming days, opening the door for the Gunners.

Roma are being tipped to sign Soldado before the January transfer window closes, with Spurs reportedly prepared to sell the struggling Spanish forward.
Soldado joined Tottenham from Valencia in the summer of 2013, but despite his £26m price tag, has failed to settle at White Hart Lane, with his lack of form and confidence exemplified by his horror miss against Burnley in the FA Cup last week.
However, that has failed to detract interest in the 29-year-old from overseas, with the Serie A side seemingly ready to end the player’s North London nightmare – Soldado’s spell at the club having produced just seven Premier League goals in 40 games.
In comparison, Destro, 23, has scored 23 goals in 52 games for Roma, since joining from Siena in 2012. He also has eight caps for Italy, and has scored once – against Malta on debut.
