Everton are the latest club to be linked with an interest in Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck, who has been told he can leave Old Trafford this summer, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The England international, who is reportedly valued at around £15m by his club, could be the latest big-name attacking player brought to Goodison Park after the Toffees splashed out £28m to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea earlier this summer.
Welbeck could move permanently or on loan, and his availability has supposedly attracted big interest from north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur as well.
The 23-year-old has been a key part of United’s first-team in recent times, but doesn’t appear to be in Louis van Gaal’s plans for the new season, with the Dutchman favouring the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez ahead of him.
