Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are also among his admirers, though it looks increasingly likely that the Italian international will sign a new contract at the San Siro.
The Gunners had been keen to sign Abate as a replacement for Bacary Sagna, who left for Manchester City in the summer, though they also brought in Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers as options in that position.
Regardless, the 27-year-old may now be out of reach as he looks set to commit his future to the San Siro club.
