The 23-year-old Brazilian has been in terrific form in the Bundesliga for the last couple of years, establishing himself as one of the top playmakers in the German top flight.
Arsenal had been monitoring Firmino as a possible replacement for Atletico Madrid target Santi Cazorla, but Liverpool are also on the lookout for new signings in attack.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also shown an interest in Firmino in the past, and a move to a bigger club is surely on this summer.
