Martinez has confirmed that he expects to leave the Portuguese giants next summer after seeing previous rumours surrounding his future come to nothing this year, and as such he has become one of the most in demand strikers in the world.
Martinez is being chased by teams from Spain, Italy and Germany, but has his heart set on a switch to the Premier League after Arsenal and Liverpool threw their hats in the ring.
However, Spurs are now thought to be shock frontrunners as Mauricio Pochettino seeks a new striker to compensate for the goal sky duo of Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor.
