Borussia Monchengladbach not interested in Bendtner deal.
Arsenal are facing a struggle to offload flop Nicklas Bendtner after a Borussia Monchengladbach official said the club were not interested in signing the striker.
Bendnter is almost certain to leave the Emiraets Stadium this summer having spent this season on loan at Serie A outfit Juventus.
Rather than impress for the Scudetto winners, the 25-year-old managed just two starts all season and failed to find the net in ten appearances in the league and Europe.
The Dane, who has just one year remaining on his current deal in north London, claimed last week that he had offers from ‘five or six’ clubs, with Monchengladbach thought to be leading the scramble for the forward.
But a scout for the Bundesliga club, Ove Flindt-Bjerg, has insisted the Denmark international is not on their summer shopping list.
“We do not look for the type of player like Bendtner,” Flindt-Bjerg is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“We are looking for other types in the transfer window.”
Fellow Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt are thought to be keen on Bendtner, however.
