Mega-rich French champions interested in Newcastle’s Yohan Cabaye.
PSG could scupper Arsenal’s bid for Yohan Cabaye after submitting a €15m bid for the Newcastle star, according to French daily L’Equipe.
The Gunners had a £10m offer for the 27-year-old rejected by the Toon on Monday – leaving boss Alan Pardew incensed.
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to up their bid for the France international as boss Arsene Wenger embarks on a spending spree in the final days of the summer transfer window.
PSG boss Laurent Blanc has made no secret of his admiration for Cabaye.
“Cabaye? There are a lot of things that you [journalists] write in the press.”
“At the moment I can only say that I love this player,” Blanc said.
Cabaye joined the Magpies from Lille in summer 2011 and has made 73 appearances in two seasons for the club, scoring 11 goals.
