Could Ozil be heading back to Spain after just one season?

Barcelona are interested in signing Arsenal’s superstar German Mesut Ozil, just a year after he moved from their La Liga rivals Real Madrid, reports talkSPORT.
The Catalan giants are readying a £30m bid for the 25-year-old, which Arsenal are unlikely to accept considering they shelled out £42m for him just eight months ago.
Ozil started excellently at the Emirates, but injuries and poor form have meant his season has tailed off into insignificance, with his side dropping out of the title race and into a battle for fourth place with Everton.
Ozil was superb in Spain though, and over the past five years, no other player in Europe has assisted more goals.
As a result of Ozil’s pedigree and La Liga experience, Barcelona want to add him in the summer following their indifferent season. They’re still in the title race, but crashed out of the Champions League to Atletico Madrid, and trail Diego Simeone’s side in La Liga as well.
As mentioned though, Arsenal will likely reject the offer out of hand – hoping that with a full pre-season behind him, Ozil will show next term why he’s rated as one of the world’s best attacking midfielders.
