Arsenal are reportedly unlikely to wrap up a sensational £50m deal for PSG striker Edison Cavani ahead of the transfer deadline.
Reports emerged on Tuesday morning that Arsene Wenger had flown out to Paris to discuss deals with his targets, but the news isn’t positive for Gunners supporters.

According to the Daily Mail, the French tactician is unlikely to sign Cavani as the club are not willing to pay £50m for the 28-year-old.
While that makes sense for the most part, it will do little to calm the growing frustration around the club over the inactivity in the transfer market this summer.
Petr Cech remains the club’s only signing since last season, and it has been argued that Wenger needs more in order to maintain a sustained title push.
The report regarding Cavani also suggests that Adrien Rabiot could still make the move to the Emirates, but Mathieu Flamini would need to be offloaded first.
The French midfielder has been linked with a move to Galatasaray, but it is also suggested that at this stage PSG are reluctant to sell.
