Tomas Rosicky has admitted that he has spoken to Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech about joining Arsenal and feels that his international teammate would be a “great” signing for the Gunners.
Cech, a four-time Premier League winner with the Blues, is believed to have told Chelsea on Monday that he wants to leave this summer after losing his place in the first team to Thibaut Courtois.
Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly attempt to persuade Cech to choose them with a £39m contract, but the 33-year-old wants to stay in London, where his family are settled, and also has his eyes on the Premier League clean sheet record.
For those reasons, Arsenal have emerged as the strong favourites for his signature, and Rosicky has revealed that he has discussed the possibility of his Czech international teammate also becoming his club colleague.

When asked if he spoken to Cech about Arsenal, Rosicky said: “I would be lying if I told you no. But I’ve said already that I will not interfere. Petr will have a lot of options to go to a lot of clubs. He has always been up there with the top keepers, for sure.
“Obviously, Petr is a very experienced guy who has so many things behind him. He has won so many things in his career. He would improve many teams in Europe and you can never have enough good players to choose from. Obviously he is a great keeper.”
Cech was number one for a decade at Stamford Bridge after joining from French club Rennes for £7m in 2004.
