Arsenal flop Yaya Sanogo is on the verge of sealing a loan move to Dutch giants Ajax, according to reports.
Sanogo has struggled to break into Arsene Wenger’s starting XI since joining from Ligue 1 side Auxerre in 2013, making just 11 Premier League appearances for the Gunners.
The 22-year-old spent half of last season on loan with Crystal Palace, but he failed to hit the back of the net in any of his 10 league appearances for the club, however, he did score in Palace’s 3-2 FA Cup Fourth Round win over Southampton.
According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Eredivisie side Ajax are keen to bring the French youth international to the club on a one-year loan deal.
The reports suggest Sanogo will head to the Amsterdam Arena in an attempt to revive his stalling career, and he will surely be keen to learn plenty from Gunners legend Dennis Bergkamp.
Bergkamp is currently an assistant at Ajax under manager Frank de Boer.
