Bendtner’s troubled Arsenal stint finally came to an end this summer.
Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, who is currently a free-agent, might be wanted by fellow Premier League side Aston Villa, reports the Daily Mail.
The 26-year old Dane left Arsenal at the end of last season, with Arsene Wenger unwilling to extend his contract, and is now looking for a new club.
While Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt are believed to be interested in the towering forward, he might well prefer to stay in the Premier League, where he held a decent scoring record over the last 10 years despite his issues with the Gunners.
Bendtner netted a total of 48 times in 171 appearances for Arsenal and has also scored 24 times in 56 games for Denmark.
Villa are in the process of rebuilding after their owner Randy Lerner decided to put the club up for sale, and are looking to add more strike power to their ranks owing to long-term injuries for Christian Benteke and Libor Kozak.
They might be able to lure Bendtner, who would possibly get regular first team football at Villa Park to re-establish himself as useful striker in the Premier League.
