But it’s not the retired superstar making his way to the Emirates Stadium…
Arsenal have followed up the club record signing of Mesut Ozil with a surprise move for a member of the Beckham family.
Unfortunately for Gunners fans it’s not former Manchester United and Real Madrid galactico David, but his 10-year-old son Romeo after he pledged his allegiances to Arsene Wenger’s side, the Sunday Express report.
The Beckham boys were spotted at the Emirates Stadium last Sunday as they took in the north London derby win over Tottenham and Romeo has since revealed that it is his dream to play for Arsenal, saying “Gunna play for Arsenal one day!”
However, Beckham senior could have something to say about his second son’s choice of team after admitting earlier this year that he was baffled as to how the youngster became a Gooner.
“I have two sons who support Manchester United and one who is an Arsenal fan. I took him to an Arsenal game and Arsene Wenger treated him so well and gave him a shirt with his name on the back,” he said.
The 38-year-old previously trained with Arsenal to maintain his fitness before joining Paris Saint Germain, where he won the Ligue 1 title, in the months prior to his retirement.
