Gunners star Gervinho to leave the Emirates Stadium for Marseille.
Arsenal forward Gervinho is set to join Ligue 1 outfit Marseille this summer, according to French source Le10Sport.
Marseille’s sporting director Jose Anigo has been in contract with the Gunners and the Ivory Coast forward, with all parties keen to push through a deal.
L’Om would prefer a year long loan with an option to buy but Arsenal want to sell the 26-year-old, who was just two years remaining on his current deal, rather than risk losing him on the cheap next summer.
Gervinho made just 18 Premier League appearances for the Gunners this season, scoring five times, and last played 90 minutes in the league in the 1-0 defeat at Norwich in October.
Although Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remains a fan of the Ivory Coast international, the Frenchman is willing to allow the forward to leave, particularly with the Gunners set to splash the cash in the transfer market this summer.
Gervinho is also keen to seek regular first team football ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
