Blanc has run out of patience with the striker.

Cavani and Blanc’s relationship has been strained ever since both men arrived at the Parc des Princes in 2013, with the 27-year-old believing the Frenchman prefers Zlatan Ibrahimovic in attack.
It’s well documented that the Uruguay international has often had to play on the right flank to accommodate Ibrahimovic in the starting XI and this had frustrated the forward.
Yet whilst Cavani and Blanc appeared to have settled their differences at the start of this season, the PSG boss has now said he needs to be more ruthless if the reigning Ligue 1 champions are to achieve their lofty ambitions.
Part of this new regime could see the South American being axed from the squad and if that were to happen the Gunners are ready to swoop with a club record £50m bid.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United have shown interest in Cavani in the past, but it’s believed the North Londoners now lead the chase to sign the attacker.
A centre-back and a defensive midfielder remain a priority for Arsene Wenger in the January transfer window, but the opportunity to sign someone with the talent of the former Napoli man would be too good to turn down.
