Arsenal could be given hope in their pursuit of AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao after he denied he was joining Real Madrid, according to the Daily Express.
The Colombian international, who has also been linked with Manchester City, tweeted yesterday that he was going to make the “dream” move to Real, but quickly deleted the message.
Arsenal have been chasing a new signing upfront for much of the summer and are desperate to bring someone in now after learning that Olivier Giroud could be out injured until January.
It remains to be seen if the Gunners can afford the 28-year-old, but they will now hope to be in with a chance of landing Falcao as they look set to miss out on the signing of Loic Remy, who is close to completing his move to Chelsea.
