Arsenal have reportedly held talks with the agent of Juventus star Fernando Llorente as Arsene Wenger looks to add another striker to his squad ahead of the new season.
Llorente has been linked with both the Gunners and Manchester United, but Corriere dello Sport reports Llorente’s agent flew into London to begin talks with Arsenal officials over a possible deal.
Arsenal are believed to be keen to take some of the attacking workload off Olivier Giroud and have also been linked with a move for Real Madrid attacker Karim Benzema.
Benzema’s proposed move to the Emirates is looking increasingly unlikely, and it now seems the Gunners have turned their full attention to the former Athletic Bilbao man.
Llorente is keen for a move away from Juventus after dropping down the pecking order in Turin.
The 30-year-old played second fiddle behind Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez last season, and the additions of Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala and Simone Zaza means match time will be limited for the Spanish international.
