Initial reports positive for Arsenal regarding Mesut Ozil’s injury, but the Gunners now nervously await his return.
Arsenal have concerns over playmaker Mesut Ozil after the German limped off with a knee injury against Sweden last night.
Mesut Ozil was enjoying a sensational final 2014 World Cup qualification match for die Mannschaft, scoring and supplying two assists, but had to be substituted midway through the second half.
Whilst a knee injury is always a concern, the fact that Ozil was able to walk off the pitch rather than use a stretcher is a promising sign, and initial reports indicate that the 25 year-old is merely suffering from some bruising on the knee.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will also look to bring back midfielder Santi Cazorla against Norwich City this weekend, with the Spanish star having recovered from his ankle injury.
