Gunners want defender to replace the outgoing Sagna at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal want Lazio right-back Abdoulay Konko to replace Bacary Sagna this summer.
The 29-year-old has shone in his first season for Lazio after arriving from Genoa in the summer, and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger believes the experienced defender is the ideal replacement for his compatriot.
With the Rome club set to miss out on European football next season, Konko has reportedly welcomed the interest from the Emirates Stadium and could be available for as little as £6m.
Sagna, 30, is likely to leave north London this summer after reaching stalemate in his contract negotiations with the club.
French Morrocan star Konko has never played international football but boasts a wealth of experience, having come through the ranks at Juventus and played for Sevilla and Siena in his career.
The full-back can also cover in midfield and has scored once in 27 appearances for the Stadio Olimpico outfit this term.
