Campbell joined the Greek club on a season-long loan deal from the Gunners in the summer and is enjoying a good season, with seven goals to his name so far.
And his agent Joaquim Batica says the 21-year-old is happy in Greece, with Olympiacos already in talks with Arsenal over a permanent transfer.
“Olympiacos wants to keep Joel. I know because I was told by the club about 10 days ago when I was there. They asked if Joel is happy. I told them he is very happy with his life in Greece,” Batica is quoted as saying by ArseBlog.
“I understand that he has already begun discussions with Olympiacos and Arsenal on this topic. Above all, it is a matter between the two clubs. However, it is difficult, since Joel belongs to a big club like Arsenal and this, as you know, makes things more complicated.”
Batica added that Campbell was happier playing for a club where he would enjoy plenty of first team action.
“You know, he is more interested in playing. For example, Joel would not be happy to be in one of the top leagues but staying on the bench week in, week out.”
