Arsenal transfer rumours
The Gunners have enjoyed some excellent form from French forward Olivier Giroud in recent times, with the 28-year-old responding to his critics with a great run in front of goal to establish himself as one of the best attackers in the Premier League.
With Alexis Sanche and Danny Welbeck also options upfront, it is uncertain why Wenger feels he needs to spend big on a player like Higuain, despite his obvious qualities and proven goalscoring record at big clubs.
Arsenal were known to be keen on signing the 27-year-old while he was still at Real Madrid, though the move fell through, but the Metro now claims they are on his tail again this summer, with talks already underway for him to make the move to the Emirates Stadium.
