Arsenal have come up with another transfer target for January, as The Metro reports that they are now going after Real Madrid midfielder Isco.
The Gunners came out of the summer transfer window with no deals completed, aside from their early move for former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.
They are now hoping to agree to terms with the rising Real Madrid star, and they are prepared to offer the La Liga giants £22m.
However, the Gunners will have to hold off Manchester City, who have also expressed interest in the 23-year-old.
The Spanish international has shown promise in his two seasons with Real Madrid, as he has come up with 12 goals in 69 La Liga appearances.
He also helped lead Real Madrid to the 2013-14 UEFA Champions League title.
Arsenal are still looking for more depth at midfielder, and they have also been looking to upgrade their scoring attack.
They failed to complete a deal for a striker, despite heavily pursuing Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani.
