The Gunners came away with a well earned victory over the struggling Tigers to keep them in contention for the relegation run in, but the visitors came away with concerns over Ramsey, who had to be forced off with 25 minutes left to play.
Ramsey, though, was replaced by Wilshere, who has suffered his own injury problems this season as well, having been out of action since November following ankle surgery.
And Wenger was pleased to report that the England international’s progress since the turn of the year has been very positive indeed.
“Jack Wilshere returned and had a good game in his 25 minutes so that is a big positive,” he said.
Wenger also gave hope that the Welshman would not be out of action for too long, if at all, as his injury concern actually turned out to be fairly minor.
“Aaron Ramsey got a big kick and that is swollen but it should not be too bad.”
