Arsenal could be without left back Nacho Monreal for an extended period after boss Arsene Wenger said the Spaniard may have suffered a metatarsal break in the 2-1 win at Aston Villa on Monday.

Monreal made his fourth start of the season at Villa Park but the 28-year-old was replaced on 68 minutes after suffering the injury.
“Monreal was an accident, but we have to check his metatarsal in the morning. He got kicked on the top of the laces,” Wenger said.
