Walcott is expected to be valued at approximately £25m in the transfer market.
An Arsenal insider is reported to have advised the team to deal their forward for 20-year-old Liverpool midfielder Raheem Sterling, who is inevitably on his way out the door.
Sterling has clearly expressed his displeasure with his current place on his team, but it will not be easy for the Gunners to reel him in as Liverpool wants around £50m in return.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers himself has shown interest in the Reds bringing in Walcott, along with Kieran Gibbs.
However, the alleged insider is pushing for the Gunners to not let Gibbs go and instead deal for Sterling in a swap deal involving Walcott.
It remains to be seen whether there is actually any truth to this “insider” rumor though.
